"I was Now Ready to Turn My One Off Hull Over"
I can tell you that this was a exciting step for me. Was i nervous, you bet!! My next step was to pull my hull out from under the shelter I had built. I had to clear out any objects that might impede my progress while dragging the hull out on the strong back. I used a friends 4x4 pick up to drag it out. I had to use jacks and some rollers to begin with, jacking the strong back up and inserting some 8" pipe rollers that I had cut into four foot lengths under each side of the strong back about 8 feet apart. After I had them all under it was time to hook up a 1" nylon line fashioned with a bridal to the back end of the strong back that I had reinforced with bolted on braces. I used 1/2" carriage bolts as i had used to assemble the whole strong back with. I kept pulling the line very slowly to begin with, stretching it out to the hull started creeping along stopping when I had to put the pipe's that came out the back of the strong back and putting them in front of the hull. To make a long story short it took me from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm to clear the shelter enough to flip the hull over. I now was ready for the one off flip, which means locating cable hoists to pull the upright hull back under the shelter. If you will note in the movie the crane operator has two cables hooked to the upside down hull which he will use

to lift up the hull, then while suspended in the air he turned the hull on it's side and re-rigged the cable's for the final lift and roll. He hooked to the boat's cradle that I had built around the hull with 2x6's and 1/2" bolts that I built after I had removed the hull from the boat shelter. You can see a good view of the mold inside the boat while it was on it's side. After the final lift he swung the upright hull about a quarter of the way back in the boat shelter, it was then up to me to to drag the boat hull in the rest of the way as seen in the above slide show.

Once I have the boat pulled back in I leveled the boat by blocking the boat cradle that the boat was sitting in by using the water line that I had transferred from the boat frames on the inside to the out side of the boat that I have covered in a previous chapter, Building the Boat's Frames, page 4 link: http://www.shipshapetipsboatbulidingandrepairs.com/building-the-frames-and-mounting-them-page-5
NOW WE CAN START ON THE INSIDE.
I will now start detailing things the rest of the way and not in any special order. I will focus on different parts of the boat that will also be useful in repairing and adding some new feature's that may be used in upgrading your existing Boat. See you on the " next page ". :)
